WTF? 2002 A4 is slower then 2001?

Default WTF? 2002 A4 is slower then 2001?
Audi-a4.com lists a 8.9 0-60 for the 1.8 T quattro! The 2.0's is 9.9!!! WTF is going on?

I think they went back to 150 hp for 2002 1.8T's...

Default Those are EUROPEAN specs. There, the 1.8T is still 150 HP...
and those times still seem a bit slow. Should be closer to 8.3-8.5 The US versions are confirmed to have the US 170 version of the engine. US spec models times have not be published yet. Apart from the HP differences, US models typically get different gear ratios as well, more befitting our driving style. HTH.

And there is always hope of engine changes through body styles, 12v to 30v, 1.8 150-170, it happens

Default With the same 170hp engine in *I think* about a 150lb. heavier car...
Then I'd say it would be .1-.2 seconds slower than a 2001.
