WTF? who clipped my vaccum hose to my boost gauge?!

Default WTF? who clipped my vaccum hose to my boost gauge?!
Boost gauge stopped working a while ago, never found out why. while under the hood today found what i thin kwould be the vaccum hose for the gauge clipped. its the hose coming off the 3 hoses that come together. the one closest to the fire wall. I've had the car for a few months, and gauge worked fine for 1st couple months then all a sudden stopped working. No one else has ever been under the hood o fthis thing since i bought it. now hose is cleanly cut. any suggestions? wish I had a pic.
