WTK: after fixing boost leak do you need to clear the VAG?

I finally found my boost leak for my 2K 1.8tqm. It was the vacuum hose coming from the DV and the another part. The vacuum hose was burned severely because it was next to the head on the block.
So now, after putting new hoses in, it holds steady on the boost but before when it was leaking it would almost hit really high at nearly 2.0 and then it would bog at near the red level and then it would hold steady at a really low bar at nearly .5.
Anyways.. does this mean that the VAG must be cleared and does it mean because it holds steady that it is still in limp mode?
Right now, it holds steady after fixing the hose at 1.0 bar.
I guess my main question is whether or not my car is in limp mode or not.
BTW It is not giving out any CEL lights at all.
