i guess the overall concept is different from the others ...i dont think the lower flaps are necessary to get air up there
a revealing pic of the 'raw material' used will be posted a bit later, i ran out of batteries

some more pics.
note the lower flaps are flat onto the condenser. the rushing air will definately go up so just collecting them to the little hole is the goal. the upper flaps will do just that - atleast thats what i think

the material is the Gutter Getter(r) from Home depot(and the likes), $2.97, roof drainage department (duh)
if you want a perfect one wait for someone to sell them

Default Would a lower mounted scoupe not work better?

Or do you already agree with that and this was just cheaper?

Default i dont get it. if you block the lower part(bumper level) then you'll get more air

i already have an FMIC doing that
