I'm finding the A4 to be a bit on the small side for my needs: driving with more than 1 passenger, and trips to home depot for all of the stuff needed for a new house.

Obviously, the avant will give me more cargo room, but is there a significant change in the seating in the back seat? Right now, I feel as though my passengers have to be under 5' in order to comfortably fit in the back.

What are your thoughts on the seating in the redesigned A4?

It doesn't seem like it but there is alot more room in the backseat of the new A4. I regret not getting an avant, I miss my old one. You should be quite happy with the upgrade.

I'm 6'2 and like driving with the seat mostly back.

Works out nicely though actually, outa my 3 best friends one is 6'4 n rides shotgun n the other 2 are like 5'6 and ride in the back.

I went from an 01 to an 03 and now I don't have to reposition my seat when an adult sits behind me (I'm 6'0). I can get in back behind the drivers seat and still have decent leg room - knees not hitting seat and about two inches of head room. Trunk is bigger too - just don't expect it to be as fast if you did any mods to your 01....

I'm going to talk to the dealer this week.

It seems as though we almost could get the 03 avant for the same monthly payments and pay 1 year longer than our current loan.
