Default '02 A4 1.8t question?
I was wondering if anyone else experiences this...when I start my A4 when its really cold, I hear this REALLY LOUD blowing sound coming out near the right front of my car. I took it into the dealer and they said its normal...something to do with California emissions. Kinda bothers me and was wondering if this is actually normal.

Ya I have the same thing, sounds like a big fan, but it only lasts for a minute or so.

Air injection pump - for emissions - only during cold starts.
