Thanks for looking at the post hopefully you can shed some light on my problem.

I have a 2.0 FSI AWA B6 Avant. It had an intermittent fault 17428 which the high pressure fuel pump was replaced. Now this has been replaced when the car is started and left to idle until it reaches temperature the EPC light comes on and the car stalls.

There is no codes available at this point but won't restart until cooled. Also what is interesting we have tried cooling the area where the high pressure fuel pump by pouring water on and it starts.

Completely no idea where to go with this. VAG COM doesn't shed much light on it. And only feedback I can get from mechanics is that unless it breakdown its gonna be difficult to pin point.

Have any of you guys had anything similar or any ideas.
