Hey guys, I was told that removing the head unit in the 2003 Audi was a big "no no" by the dealership. Now, this puts me into a bit of a "pickle" seeing how I really want to install the Clarion in dash DVD/CD 7" screen. Am I screwed? It be nice to have along with the 2 JL 10" W3V2s I've installed now.

As for the coils, You all know I had a problem with my 2003 A4 a day after i got it(200 miles) with the ignition Coil, and I promised you all the product number/part number of the new and old coil. I wasnt there to pick up my car(school), so I'll have both those numbers for you tomorrow when i call Dan at Hoehn.

there are many ppl on this forum with new stereos/dvds/etc... does this make it hard for you to get a fused replaced at the dealer?

not that, he just said that the middle h.u.d. display(between the speedometer/RPMs) will not work anymore.

Yes, removing or replacing the Audi Symphony or Concert headunit will disable the driver screen display that relates to the headunit (i.e. CD, radio data, etc.) specifically. Naturally you wouldn't want to replace the headunit if you don't want to lose that display. Removing or replacing the headunit will not however disable the entire display.

in order for a dealer to void your warranty because of a modification, he must first prove that the modification was the direct cause of any failure.And if it was the cause of the failure only that part that failed would not be warranteed. The warranty for the entire rest of the car would remain in effect. This includes installing aftermarket performance parts such as exhaust, ecu &amp; sc's. My 2k bmw has an ESS SC and I take it to the dealer for service and minor little problems and it is taken care of under warranty and this car has major mods including the sc,bigger bosch injectors, ecu rework, intake and exhaust, 19's w/ 14" stoptech bbk, H&amp;R cup kit suspension, Interior has pioneer dvd and infinity kappa separates front and back plus amps and subs.None of this has voided my warranty. And the minute the h&amp;r cup kit and an SC become available for my 2k2 a4 3.0 q/t i will install them along with 19's and bbk's .I've already done the dvd and separates and subs and amps. So dont buy into the "any mod voids warranty" bs.
