Default 3.0 or 1.8T Quattro??

Im pretty much decided on a 1.8T w/ quattro. But if I don't get quattro i'm pretty sure there is cash then for the 3.0 engine. I live in Socal, and ya there are canyons here, Malibu, Topanga, etc. What do you guys think. If do get the 1.8t I have cash for a chip.

Default If you're decided, then go for it! Lots of people have happily made the same decision.

Just make sure to test drive both all the variants you are considering (1.8T/3.0, quattro/fronttrak, stick/auto). Good luck, its an awesome car.

Default if warranty isnt an issue, get the 1.8T quattro with chip, the turbo is great up high

and with chip, youll get close to 3.0 performance, and since you wont sit in traffic alot im guessing, the driveability is of leasnt concern to you.
You'll still have dough left over, just spec the baby up from factory or aftermarket.

Quattro may also suit mountains if you push hard.

Not to mention, warranty most likely wouldnt be an issue, but it is a risk non the less.

According to one dealer I went to, if Neuspeed does the install, its covered under warrenty. Dosn't mean I will tell them if I get a chip ;-).

Why? Im not a spoiled brat. You don't here me complaining about not getting the 3.0 AND Quattro. Im not flaming you, it just offensive when people say that just because im 15 I don't diserve an Audi. You should take a trip down to my school. At least I'm not getting a 60k Lincoln Blackwood.
