I recently picked up an Avant Quattro with 38k on the odometer. There is a shake (feels like tires) at and above 55 mph. The tires were rebalanced a week ago and seemed okay for about two days, now it's back. Any ideas? Are these hubcentric wheels or do they require a special lug centering adaptor to balance them. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

1988 A4 with only 38k? You better pull a carfax on that car, see if there is a roll back or rebuilt engine....

Oops. I meant 98. I have an 88 bmw 325is and I'm used to typing that year.
