ABS computer replacement question
It appears my 99.5 A4 Avant 1.8TQT has lost it's Bosch 5.3 ABS computer. The unit can't be communicated with and I have the telltale solid ABS light and blinking brake light. The car drives normally. I have some questions.
1. Is the computer under the left/rear seat and is it difficult to remove?
2. Autoecu.com will rebuild Bosch 5.3 computer for $349 including shipping both ways with a 1 year warranty. Is this a better deal than buying a used one?
3. Can you drive the car with the ABS computer out of the car while it's being rebuilt?
