Default Air Con Problems

It seems my car is crapping out on me right before all the suspension work and wheels go on. I've been having my stereo problems which I posted about and that was it. With the retardtedly hot weather in NJ these couple of days I have actually turned my A/C unit on. I'm not normally an air con guy but it was hot enough to warrant it. So I turn it on to 66 degrees and put it on auto. I wait as the system tries to get cold air. 45 minutes later it is still blowing warm air. Shut the car off 15 minutes later when I get to EMT class. That was 5:30. At 10:00 I get in to drive home and its still hot out so I turn it on and same thing happens again. I also noticed some wet spot under the front of my car when I got to it. My car is a 2002 1.8t but only has 33,xxx miles. Anyone know what may be wrong and if I can fix it myself? TIA

Default leak

could just be a hose leak. If you got any warranty left (4 years is either up or coming soon) then you should just take it into the dealer.

Default Re: Air Con Problems

66 degrees during the heat of the day isn't enough for me, always seems like warm air and mine works fine... is it any different when you put it on LO? If you ran it even at 66, it's probably going to spit water out of the evap drain tube, right? Is it more water than what you'd see if your a/c has been on?

Default or the seals are leaking.

Depending on the age of the car, if you never run the AC then most likely the seals haven't been getting moistened.. and may have dried out and become leaky.

You may even want to give the AC a run on a warmer winter day just to let the liquid circulate.

Default No difference when on LO...

It still runs warm. I've pushed every combination of button to try to get it to work colder but I'm having no luck. And I know that there normaally is water after the a/c has been on but it seems like an awful lot of liquid. I tried to take a pic tonight but it came out too dark. I'm almost positive that there is far too much water coming out for it to be normal.
