Default Most people here are using K&N...
You won't notice any difference... but the car will get more air.

Default They can make a huge difference
K&N is the only one to even consider. It will give you more power, better gas mileage and better all round performance. They work better as they pick up a little dirt. About 3 months into the use you will notice the best that it will get. They last a long time and cleaning is easy. I have used them on everything from a Suburban to a race prepared Ferrari. They are the stuff.

Default Most would say not much difference for the 1.8T. Over oiling a K&N may cause
a MAF failure which will not be coverd by your warranty.

ITG: It'll hold more dirt than stock or K&N before losing efficiency (only reason to get them).
