Lemme preface this by saying I know ZILCH about car stereos or audio in general. Which is embarrassing because I work for a leading supplier of consumer electronics cabling.

I bought the Blitzsafe adaptor from AutoToys. With their pics and instructions seems easy enough for someone as technically challenged as me to install to use with an iPod.

What I want to know is: how necessary is it really to ground the adaptor like they say in their instructions?

I've read everyone else's experience on here w/ the adaptor so far and no one has mentioned anything about grounding.

Do I really need to ground it?

...and the grounding procedure...if you buy their or someone else's T-Tap and spade connector...is so trivial that I never questioned whether it was needed ot not. You just squeeze the T-Tap with a pliers over the brown ground wire...cut off the ring terminal at the end of the black Blitzsafe ground wire and crimp on a spade connector...and plug the spade into the tap. That's it!
