Default anyone ever have their cracking seat leatherette repaired? (more)

mine is cracking on the left side bolster, and also just above the handle on the left.

anyone have this repaired? all the dealerships in the area have refused to replace it under warranty, and i only have 300 miles left anyway.

Default The dealers are giving you a bunch of BS. Several people on this Forum have

had the same issue (myself included) and have had their seat covers replaced under warranty.

Default 2nd - force the issue, ask for the regional service manager to look at it

Same thing happened to me - although I had it changed around 30K. I blamed it on a trip to VT where the car saw -25 deg temps. I said the seats cracked then. They were replaced - no questions asked. They then cracked a second time due to wear and tear - this time I noticed it 400mi after my warranty. I asked them to do a good will replacement - they balked that time. I didn't push the issue any further. Fact is that the materials in the car should be able to withstand normal use and still look in good shape well after the end of the warranty period.

Default i tried and tried. every dealership here denied it. I called AOA and they called the Manager of .

the dealership and he still denied it. No one cared. I ahev given up on getting it repaired.

They also told me it was because i was too big for my seat that it cracked. I put undo stress on the material. I am all of 160lbs on a 5'7" frame. I am sure there are bigger people out there than me that have the same car and don't have cracked bolsters.
