Yeah, someone posted about a visit form the FBI after buying some a few weeks ago...
I was never sure if they were joking or not; but it is highly controlled. Remeber it is the second "T" in TNT.

It's a class II chemical. Large purchases will be investigated by the DEA...
...not the FBI. Worse is getting the EPA involved or the AQMD in SoCal. Major fines.
Dan's right, one to five gallons at a time and pay cash. It's just not worth the hassle if some law enforcement staffer gets a slow day (like that's ever going to happen but why take the chance?).

Not saying the govt. can't visit you, but he was saying that they were there with a search warrant
as he was typing. I'm calling BS on HIS story, not the idea that Uncle Sam can't knock on your door and see how your "Painting" business is going.

Agreed. First thing the officers would do is handcuff and isolate you so you can't...
...hurt "yourself". You'd be allowed to contact counsel later. They don't waste a lot of time poking around while you wander freely. If DEA shows it's assumed you're armed and dangerous (these officers do know what it's like to be shot at) and you're handled accordingly. If it's EPA/AQMD it's Marshalls and you may just get a Summons to Appear (unless they think you need "special" attention).
