Ok so I put it in drive it engages only first gear and revs up without switching. Tried tiptronic selection doesn't register on display. I've checked magnets and board in the shifter. Also no flashing PRND but if I'm parked and select drive then tiptronic it goes solid PRND sometimes and clears after a few min. Also not sure what trans I have the label in the spare tire area is gone and I didn't find a TCM in the passenger area floorboard?? Only has PRND and trip on the selector not S. Checked trans fluid and have some dripping out the fill on an incline and no visible leaks thanks for all the help in advance. And I haven't read codes my friend has a scanner/coding tool but won't be able to read till Thursday hoping someone knows what the problem is.

Think it's a CVT trans and the computer is in the end of the trans. I'm figuring this due to the plug and housings I've seen with numerous videos on the failures althou none acting the same as mine. Thinking it's one of the leads busted inside.. Has anyone used the send and repair services and if so any recommendations?

Trans throwing 18161 tiptronic switch. Cleared code trans drove fine no triptronic thou. Pulled apart the shifter cleaned circuitboard and flipped rear magnet and boom problem solved. Thanks for all the help everyone......*crickets chirping*
