Default B6 3.0 Chip/Top Speed

I was on the highway the other night and wanted to see if we really were electronically limited to 130.... which it turns out give or take 3 mph you are. but does anyone have a chip on the 3.0 engine or no speed limiter and has topped out the car. i was wondering how fast this little v6 gets up to... and any info on 3.0 chips if anyone can find a decent one could help too

Default without a rev limiter and the six speed....

you should be able to get into the 250km/h range.

Default My 3.0 must be an freak of nature, because I got it up to 148 before I let off the gas....

I thought for sure it would quit at 130, but it just kept pulling. Buddy in his supercharged VR6 Jetta was behind me and confirmed that it wasn't a speedo error...

And before I get yelled at....it was on a very empty highway, late at night, with no other cars around.

Default VW/Audi speedo's have major error.

I'm at 63 when it says 70 on the speedo. I wouldn't be surprised if the % error is the same on VWs and Audis. The amount of error increases as the speed increases.

Default I've also revved the car well into redline without the rev-limiter kicking in....

not intentionally, but I assumed it would cut the motor, so I was just shifting by the sound of the motor, and didn't realize it was revving so hard until I looked, the almost freaked out when I saw where the needle was.

was reading 81.3mph while the speedo was locked on 80mph.

Default I'm a good 2-3 mph off the radar signs the police set up in the 40mph zones.

Apparently, the average speed calculator on the driver info display is more accurate. It says 73 when I'm going 80.
