Default B6 CHIPPED ECU USE IN ANOTHER B6??
hey guys

i bought a chipped ecu off ebay for a b6 1.8T manual to install into a friends car, however the car wont run and i learned it has some skc code? is this true? do i need the dealer to flash the ecu in the car? the ecu has been flashed and there is no physical chip installed,

thanks for any help, i imagine if i ask the dealer to do this they will look at me like im crazy?

Default Its not plug and play...you need to bring the ecu to the dealer to adapt it to the car.
It has something to do with immobilizer

Ad initial said, it must be cloned by the dealer. Most will not do this. Get your $$$ back.

No. SKC can only be gotten from dealer while connected to the 5052

they actually pull the SKC by your VIN from aesis, and then use the 5052 to program it in. ;-)

Default i was told they are now required by AoA to only receive it from them while hooked up...
supposedly this just started this year and the dealers will no longer have direct access. You know anything about this? My dealer confirmed that it is the case for them. cheers! Mike
