Default boost leak problem? (carl [stage 2+]? bobdepot? anyone?)

Hello,

I have 1.8t, apr i+. I've been experiencing loss of power while in chip mode, and now, starting to see it in stock mode. I came across carl [stage 2+]'s post and his description of the problem matches exactly with mine --

It seems like bobdepot might have same problem as well --

Did you guys found out the cause of the problem? Anyone else experience this?

TIA,

Joe

I had the same issue - your bypass valve may be bad

Default i'm suspecting bpv too...but

carl was saying replacing bpv didn't make difference for him. And on my car, the "fffff" noise doesn't sound like it's coming from passenger side of the car and it's not the farting sound...

I have a sport 110 valve waiting to be installed...I'm hopoing it's a simple bad bpv problem...

Thanks for the reply!

No problem. Try installing the BPV backwards if it doesn't work initially
