Bought a 05 avant tqm. What happened to the black plastic thingie that covered the batt and ECU box?

Default Bought a 05 avant tqm. What happened to the black plastic thingie that covered the batt and ECU box?
......Is Audi trying to save on cost? The cover on a practical point of view is useless, but asthetically, it makes the engine bay neater and can prob keep out some dirt.

yes cost cutting... but you seem to negate yourself. it is practical. keeps dust away from the batt.
