a buddy of mine has a B6 1.8t thats mildly modded. any idea why boost would go from 18 to 6psi?

i'm not very familiar with the 1.8t motor.

Default boost leak?
quite common on the 1.8T to develop boost leak from a couple of nusance vacuum lines that always bust.
