A/C Compressor Problems
Thanks
Ask'm specifically what, on the compressor maybe bad?
Clutch?
Freon charge?
Oil? Oil leak?
Mechanical(compressor itself)?
Electrical, the sensors involved with the a/c system and the one on the compressor itself?
Some shops would rather simply change the entire compressor, instead of troubleshooting, and getting it wrong...and you returning a couple weeks later...
If the compressor has pooped out, your a/c system needs to be "flushed", to removed contaminents. This is a vital!!! Otherwise these contaminents will quickly trash a new compressor. Normally the reciever dryer gets changed and the orifice valve, changed, with the compressor. The reciever dryer collect contaminents and cannot be flushed. The orifice valve is also a filter, and is easier to change than to clean. ;o)
