A/C Problems and Dealer Problems!!!

Is anyone having problems with their A/C not getting cold? I live in Las Vegas where the temp. gets very hot, but the A/C does not seem to cool in my '02 A4 1.8T. I had an A6 loaner that seemed to work just fine. It's been in the shop twice to fix it (20 days)and now the dealer says that it is "up to spec". They also damaged my car while in there for the A/C. 4 times and cant seem to fix lot damage. Also, does anyone go to Desert Audi (LV Dealer)? Any input is welcomed. thanks.

I feel for you....it sucks to have your car damaged......

by others trying to fix it or modify it. The people that tinted my car damaged it =(

I live in Atlanta and the air is fine. It doesn't get as hot but the humidty and the

heat combo make it a bitch sometimes. When the car does sit in the sun and it gets heat soaked it does take a long time to cool it off. I plan on tinting the car in the next week to help aleviate some of the problem.

I think the air cold be colder. My last car,Accord, would freeze my *** out if I let it.

Still love this car though.

Brilliant Black car, 95F, 95% humidity outside, set at 65F, vent ouput 44F, actual temp in car 70F.

That's my baseline for future comparison. I'm going to record the high and low A/C line pressures just in case I ever have cooling difficulties later in life I will know what worked great before. I love the cold, but need to set this A/C warmer as it cools too well!!

Also your will only get great cooling performance with the "manual" recirculation turned on!
