Get a Hyperboost DV and minimize that lag

Planning to do that but still don't understand why it's so laggy. Small turbo = little lag no?

Old Z's and Mitsubishis too, now that was some lag, the A4 has relatively low lag

Default I think you're confusing lag

The 1.8T has very little lag. Once chipped, the mid-range is greatly increased making the bottom end feel soft in comparison.

Default IIRC, without a turbo the 1.8T is making around 115-120HP

The idea is to use a LPT to increase low end grunt. You will make more torque with a turbo than a naturally aspirated engine assuming HP is equal between the two.

Blah on the butt dyno, imagine an Integra GSR motor in the A4 instead of the 1.8T. Now that's a scary thought.

It's not the turbo that's lagging, it's the friggin 3400 lbs it's trying to move. =)
