Car broke down, Found out its the fuel pump died..

Just so people know, my 1.8T died the weekend and just got a call from Audi to say the cost is £263 inc VAT thats about $480.
So you know what it costs to replace a fuel pump out of warranty
Labour rates at my Audi dealer is £90 an hour, thats $160, most independants charge £30/$50 but because I didnt have OBD2 tool I had to use Audi, I will buy one now though
Symtoms, total loss of power, no CEL lights, but the ECL light and CEL light came on yesetday when it was delivered to the dealer.
A very dangeous thing to happen, especially if your on the motorway

Mine died last week, had the car back the next morning.
University Audi rocked my world on that one ... towed in at 5:30pm, got the call it was completed by 9:30am the next morning.
