Chip Considerations - your input needed
Been reading about chips and researching APR, GIAC, and Neuspeed. Just saw a great article linked to an October thread re: GIAC. I don't really follow how this chip could help my lead-sled 1.8T get off the line any faster. I am happy with the highway cruising abilities of the car but man, it sure does feel like a dog with no get up and go when at a stop. . . . .
Now check out this torque curve. Does the GIAC chip really produce *less* torque until about 3500rpm?
I like the convenience of the APR setup including both stock and chipped programs and, being a newbie, not thrilled about neuspeed flashing.
I'm looking for a little *boost* at the low end. (sorry, couldn't help myself . . . ) Please post your advice. . . . thx<ul><li><a href="http://www.overboost.com/whimages/68/thumbs/Torque_graph.gif">From Overboost</a></li></ul>
