Default Class action lawsuit. for leaky sunroofs

I had a 2003 A4 1.8T which was totalled back in 2008. Today in the mail I got a notice of a class action lawsuit regarding many Audi models, including the one I had. It states there were known problems with sunroof drainage and damage was caused from interior leaking. My car had this problem, but it was covered under warranty at the time I had it fixed (took three visits).
So how do these things work? Is it only for people who had out of pocket expenses? I was under the idea class action lawsuites paid out an amount to people who were affected across the board, regardless of their personal expenses.
Thoughts?

I got the letter too, but my cynical mind told me that only the lawyers will make out. Owners end up getting their hopes up, get told "no" by the dealers, get mad, threaten the dealer, etc, etc., i.e. owners really get nothing. By the way, my quick read of the letter didn't really say what was "covered" or not; it only seemed to direct inspection of the drains every 40K. I just wish I could find a good DIY to clean these things out.

My packet came with some pages at the end you could fill out if you had to spend any money on repairs. Looks like those would be the only people getting anything out of this. Not your typical class action lawsuit I guess.
Going back to the problem, what I found odd was I never parked under trees or drove in rain. Yet my drains became clogged within three years. What could have even gotten in there in the first place? Weird.

So I just recieved my packet in the mail also. Does this entitle me to get my drains cleaned out free of charge at my local Audi dealership? Fingers crossed!

nope, you gotta pay for it to be done or do it yourself. it's just a revised maintenance schedule to have it cleaned up every 40k miles or 2 years.

those who paid to fix the water damage in the passenger floor may file a claim for reimbursement though.
