That's about right if you also change the filter. I always put about 5+ quarts in, check the level, run the engine for a while to check for leaks & then recheck the oil level, adding if necessary. I usually fill to about half way between the Full & Add marks. Remember, for an accurate reading, the oil should be checked while it is hot & several minutes after stopping the engine, to let the oil in the top end drain down to the sump. HTH
