Clutch pedal clicking bad----anyone else have this problem?
Just started yesterday. It definitely seems like something in the pedal mechanism. Happens only at the top after letting out. Almost every time.
Seems like its hitting something up high where i cant see.
Help pls

I had it... two separate issues... one was creaking at the top...
dealer lubricated it, and it went away, second is the click. I was told it is the switch in the mechanism that requires the clutch pedal to be depressed when starting the car.
Very annoying though.
Interesting enough... my buddy is a salesguy over at the local porsche dealer. I was sitting in a brand spanking new 996 Turbo the other day, and that car clicks even worse. I then sat in a boxster.. same thing.

Fixed it......
Take off the panel with 3 bolts. Careful jimmying it off, i screwed up the trim accidentally (see above thread). Once the panel is off it was easy to see what was clicking. There are two pistons that engage with the clutch, one at the top and one at the bottom. I found that one needed lubrication and adjustment. Pretty straighforward.
