Default A couple of early winter observations

Well today was the first nasty day for my 03 Avant 3.06Sp Sport and the freezing rain and snow led to two observations:
1) I hope someone figures out a way to adapt winter wipers to the B6 wiper arms because all the traction in the world is useless if you can't see where your going because the wipers are clogged up with snow and ice.
2) Activation of the heated outside rearview mirrors is not as simple as I first believed.Yes they come on automatically below a certain ambient temperature but as I found out today they can also be turned on with the rear window defrost switch.I had ice on the mirrors after parking for approx 15 min.and it would not melt after driving for approx 5 min @ -2oC.I turned on the defrost and within 5 sec.it was melting.

Default Agree completely re: wipers. You really have to clean them off before driving

Be careful using the wipers on iced windshield, even with lots of spray. I went thru three pair last winter.
