Default Creaking Noise

I replaced both front CV axles on a 2004 A4 B6 Quattro , 3.0 , Cabriolet. For what ever reason I still get a slight creaking turning the wheel left or right at low speeds. Any ideas what the issue is ? Thanks in advance.

Check your sway bar end links. When it’s cold out the rubber bushings tend to chatter and move in the link when turning from side to side creating that sound your are experiencing. I’ve spray lubed it up with great success.

WD40 eats rubber; would suggest using Pure silicone spray, or perhaps something with graphite

As a test to see if it is your sway bar links, unbolt the sway bar from the frame and turn your wheels. Four 13mm bolts. If the noise stops, you’ve found the source of the noise.
