DRAMA
I was trying to switch cars recently, decided to get an A8L, to cut story short my a4 is leased, and I needed to find someone to take over my lease. So that's what I did I found a person who lives in ny as I am and wanted to take my car for the rest of the lease term witch is another 24 month, I called audi/WV financing and guess what they told me 
They told me I cant transfer my lease to anyone I can only add another person to it, What if this GUY wont pay for my lease? Then I am going to be responsible and it will go on my credit history !
My question is! Is there a way to get out of the lease ?

YES. You can always trade in the car for another or...
sell the car outright. You'll have to pony up some $$ for the differences depending on what kind of a lease it was up front.
I did this years ago on a Toyota Tacoma truck when I was only 12 months into a 60 month lease (yes! OUCH!) You have to remember a car is a car and it's worth something so depending on how (screwed) you are on your lease you can always get out or ever sell to a private party if you can get enough for it to pay off the lease and residual.

when you trade it in, the dealer does the lease buy out process for you...can be good in some cases.
I traded in my wife's leased 2002 Liberty and we got all that we needed minus $500. Needless to say that thing was gone in a heartbeat.
