Engine Temp

I have a 2002 A4 1.8l Automatic and it has been running cold, so I replaced the very expensive thermostat!$140.00 Bucks! Now, the car is running warmer, but not like it should be. I talked to the dealer and they said it could be a temp switch around the lower hose. Does anybody know what temp switch this is? And do you have a part number? I will not buy it from the dealer this time. Thanks.

replace the green cts and the neck it attaches,its between the head and firewall

there is a coolant sensor under the passenger headlight not sure what that does?
