First run with new program
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom
Do all aftermarket ecu/plugs/injector combinations require a different diverter valve? Would a blown diverter valve cause a rich condition? The coils look properly installed (I'v checked, rechecked, and checked again) but could this most likely be an ignition problem?
Thanks,
Tom
I 'beleive' REVO is the same way although i do not haev personal experince with REVO.
Any of these four mentioned are excellent tuners and i don't think you will have any problems with them. But if the car doesn't sound right the software could have failed on install. It is possible even with the best tuners. Can you explain the feel/sound you are getting in a little more detail?
Double check the plug models because i don't remember which model is the right one. I am assuming you are going 1 step colder?
Also when the diverter fails it sounds like a honking duck. It is very noticible. If you have upgraded programing and injectors i would probably put in a new rebuildable DV. Forge, Baily, Hyperboost all make great products and they are all about the same price.
Usually if the coilpacks are a problem you will get a c/e light and it will show sometype of missfire as a code. Or if the coilpak fails completely the car will run like ****, ie: really rough.
Ok, The first time I accelated (not full throttle) the engine pulled strong and everything felt fine. After that any load on the engine caused the car to accelerate slowly and there was an approximately 2 cycle a second surging/ bucking effect. One other thing I noticed is that when I would lift off the gas, after about a second there was a small whistle noise. I am currently looking for leaks in the system.
Thanks,
Tom
