So i used to get a buzzing sound coming from my rear seat area on my car when my car use to get somewhat low in gas (usually around the 70 and below mile indicator on my DIM). After a little research, i kind of figured it was the fuel pump going out. About a month ago i had the Fuel Pump replaced with a VDO Fuel pump from ECS Tuning along with the Fuel Filter. Everything good.

Fast forward to this morning, running a bit low on gas around (70 mile indicator on DIM again) and sure enough here comes the sound again...I just wanted to know what you guys think? Could it be i got a defective Fuel Pump? Im sure it shouldnt be making that noise as like i said before for a month or so i didnt hear it at all? Any information you guys would be appreciated. Last thing i want to happen is for that thing to go out while im driving...

I dunno about an imminent failure. I could hear the fuel pump in lots of cars I've owned and it didn't indicate any near-term problems.

You don't believe the ECS part was rebuilt, do you?

No it was a brand New Pump...Not rebuilt
