G35
Well kids I was down to an A4 and a G35. all in all I have to say the G35 really ran ripshaw all over the A4 3.0 So I went to battle with the dealer and it ended in 30 seconds..... No discounts, zero, zilch, nada, no way no day, zippo.
So off to Audi I go, and guess what, there lease rates on residuals for A4 3.0 are horrible, I am in the high 500's for a payment. hell I dont even pay that much for my TT....
UGH what to do, maybe just suck it up and buy a passat..DOH
And no im not cheap but I dont see the purpose of paying any more than $500 over for a new car. The G 35 has a 1% hold back, so that means the dealer is covering cost, plus whacking the customer for a 2 to 4 thousand dollar profit.

Where? When? Which engine?
I got a quote of 56% residual on an '03 A4 3.0 manual, 39 months, 12k miles. residual dropped to 55% if for 15k miles. This is in MA and their September rates.
Is 59% residual on the 1.8? Was it this month? What state?
I can't sign anything until Oct anyway so the monthly rate/program could change on me...

Have fun with the G35, but if you really want the G...
then I suggest waiting for the 6 speed, unless, of course, you wanted the automatic.
JMHO, but the G35 lost its appeal to me as soon as I drove one (interior is third rate compared to the Audi) and the exterior lost its novelty after seeing a few on the road. Whereas the A4 still catches my eye every time I see another one on the road.
Have you tried looking on leasecompare.com to see if the 3.0 can be had with lower monthly payments?

Money factors change monthly
You might wanna hang on for a while longer. The A4 is well worth it. If 0-60 time is your main concern then the G35 isn't a bad choice, but I much prefer everything else about the A4 after having driven a G35.
