GIAC "FX" Injector program almost ready for release!!!!
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/68627/graph_stages.jpg"></center><p>Hey fellas,
My car and performance gains over the past year. Look at this as the year in review. The new GIAC "FX" program is close to the eve of it's rollout. I think Moss posted prices for the injectors, the set-up will be substanitially less expensive than the APR set-up.
With a few more things in the pipeline the KO4-15 software will be out soon. Following that we will see software that will be able to run the Hybrids (KO4's and KO3's). The GIAC injectors have the ability to handle quite a bit.
If anyone in New England or the MA area is interested in a test drive I will make arrangements. Serious people only though.
Look at the linear delivery of power. The mid-range power is unreal. So smooth too. So far OEM clutch is hanging in their with minimal slip. Only time you would feel slip is those ugly heavy load 4th or 5th gear stomp on the gas pulls from like 1800-2000 RPM.
Clutch held fine on the dyno.
I will follow up with a summary of my calculations.
Let me know if you have any questions.

One more thing
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/68627/04wrx.jpg"></center><p>Pulls were done warm. Hail Mary's were not included. Numbers you see are consistently repeatable. No test pipe.
Snow tires were on for most recent pull.
Interesting Dyno for comparison purposes.
2004 pretty much stock WRX

So very tempting
Moss stated it was unlikely this kit would be available without a clutch upgrade. Is that still the case?
Also, he stated the injectors would be around $300, but didn't talk about the price for the program, or upgrade path for current GIAC users. Any ideas on that?

Nice to catch up with you this past weekend mithchelm..
Send my best to Sam and your family..
You will laugh but after seeing you and your sister's de-badged cars, I debadged my car that night.
It is a nice clean look. I will send you sister some more stickers for her car...
Talk to you soon.

Regarding the clutch upgrade.
I drove from Boston to NY and back over the holiday weekend. put about 800 miles on the car all together over the weekend. I was concerned about the clutch and here is what I experienced.
Mitchelm also drove the car so he may be able to confirm also.
>>>Rowing throught the gears at a nice spirited pace you will see litte if any slip from your clutch. Now I think this will depend on the condition of your clutch. If your clutch is on its way out than I do not know what to say.
>>> The only time I notice a little slip is when in 4th or 5th gear at 1800-2100 or so RPM you just stomp the gas. You will feel maybe 1-3 small clutch slips as the car is put under heavy load. Not a full slip but you will notice something. I think we should ask ourselves how often we do this. I think a situation like that would call for a downshift.
>>>Clutch held fine on the Dyno Dynamcics load bearing Dyno. Third Gear pulls. I will keep you posted.
>>>>Consider this. This set-up will be less expensive than the APR set-up, ultimately you will also be able to access tuning for the stock KO3 all the way to the KO4-15 and KO4 hybrids. So ultimately the consideration of a stronger clutch and maybe some upgraded engine mounts is not a bad idea..
