Got E-Codes...........
I bought the E-Codes and Bulbs from EPi (Euro-Part Importers in Northern CA. Check the linky below). Very friendly and helpful.
The stock headlights are nice. But I think the E-Codes look better to me. Not a huge design difference, but I definitely prefer the absence of the "amber" plastic decoration that the US cars are so over loaded with (like we are mentally inept with understanding what a turn signal is unless it is accented with huge amounts of orange colored plastic). "uuuuh, is that a brake light coming at me"....
The Bulbs;
Philips Vision Plus (H7 LB)
Osram Silver Star (H7 HB)
Philips Silver Vision Turn Signal (PY21W) (Can be used for rear turn signal as well).
Philips Blue Vision City Light (W5W)
For the foglight upgrade, I chose the "EPi Ultra-Blue" H11 aftermarket bulb. (Its only pictured in the passenger side foglight). As you can see; it has a more bluish-white cast, like HID. Seems more intense, brighter, sharper, then the stock bulb. Probably does not produce more light, since the blue tint subtracts from it. But they look nice. Not the best choice for bad weather conditions. Purely for looks.
I had wanted Xenons with my car, but that was not part of the package. And over $2K to buy from dealer parts. Ouch! Then I thought about those HID upgrade kits. But they seemed to messy. I just thought it would not look as clean as stock or an "all in one" kit. But now there is an "all in one" HID E-Code housing available from EPi. So I just might get my Xenons after all. Unsure of the price, around $800, but at least much less then buying new Xenon headlight housings from dealer parts and not too much more then a good HID upgrade kit w/ E-Codes as well.

With regards to the "amber piece removal" DIY on the stock headlight; personally, I would not do this mod. (and I am not trying to insult anyone who has). But the E-Codes just seem to be a better alternative/solution to this. They are in part, the reason why people want to get rid of that amber in the first place, to have that clear lens look. And another good point is that they will cost you much less then having to buy stock ones from the dealer, if you by chance ruin yours doing this DIY mod: Stock = $303.66 each 'vs' $380+/- for a pair of Halogen E-Codes.
I think they are worth it if you just hate the amber piece.
E-Code Plus's: No worries & No DIY mess (hole, or fragments floating around inside). Even "professionally" done; I would still have reservations about doing it. If it does not turn out correctly- thats it. It just does not seem to be a sensible mod, considering the housing design and what has to be done to it.....You cannot just replace a part from these. You have to buy the hole thing.
