Default It has been fun but I am out of here....

haven't posted in a while, but the A4 is going away. I am picking up a 04 VW R32 this week. A4 is a great machine but its time has come. Sold my chip and exhaust. I just want something with V6 power and AWD. I miss the V6 power of my old GTI. A4 has been a great car and I have no regrets. The 1.8T just isn't for me, at least not in this heavy car. It is fine in a GTI, much faster and lighter car. The R32 gives me everything I want in a car minus the Xenons. I can buy them aftermarket. I just want to thank everyone here that helped me out with info over the past two years. Maybe I will be back someday soon. For now it is back to the vortex. Audi/VW for life!

Default Take it easy. Good luck with the R32. One question though

Do any VW come with xenons? Why doesn't the R32?

Also, that is the only golf/gti variant that is four wheel drive that comes stateside right?

W8 comes with Xenons. And the TT could be considered a golf/gti variant (but don't tell the TT folk)

Toronto B6, Yes the Passat W8 comes with Bi-xenons and the R32 is the only Haldex system from VW state side.

yes only Golf variant that comes with AWD haldex like the TT. No hids because they could not get passed by the US DOT. Something about the turn signals being integrated in the headlight and being too close to the xenons. It would be too bright.

Default Thanks for the answers guys (all four of you). R32 is a sweet car but I just checked out some specs

Same price as an a4 1.8T quattro and weighs about 150 pounds less. I thought it would be way more than though.

Don't some golfs come in at sub 3000? It has a lot more power (comparable to a 1.8T stage 2+, if even that). And of course its more exclusive (limited run).

Peppe, make sure you at least come back here and post some pics. =]
