Default Headlight Range Control Defective

I keep getting the symbol indicating that my dynamic range control is no longer working properly. I have a 2004 A4. Is this something I could possibly fix without the hassle of the dealer or do I need to take it in? Its annoying because the symbol will come on and beep every few minutes without me having the lights on.

Have you lowered your suspension ride height with aftermarket springs?

no, the car came somewhat lowered from the factory.

I have the same problem - intermittent warning. Dealer could not reproduce, and found no diag codes

Default FIX

1. remove fuse #10. so you won't see the range control light
2. vag-com. go www.a4mods.com

Thanks. If I ever get a code, now I know how to clear it properly!

Default Get the auto leveling control module scanned for fault codes,...

then fix any problem/s revealed by the fault code/s that may exist in the module fault memory, after the repairs, clear the memory.
A VAG-COM tool is required to scan the auto-leveling control module for fault codes, and to clear the fault memory after repairs.

Default Re: FIX

Thanks, that will work too. I noticed that the left and right light range adjustment fuse locations were empty. Fuse #20 & 21 with 15amps each. Fuse #10 looked fine. Could this be why the defective light keeps coming on?

Default No, the two empty fuse locations you refer to are used only for the manually adjusted ...

headlight range setup used in Europe.

Default Similar light

same light came on for too along with oil sensor notification and oil pressure notification . Read this and went to the fuses. So I can atleast get rid of one annoying problem. Removed it and all notifications are gone.
