Default Headlight switch blinking/going off issue: resolved

I bought one from ECS tuning, the only thing is that it's the European model and the angle is a bit different. It doesn't blink or go off anymore.

Total cost: $34.95 at ECS Tuning
Repair time: 2 minutes<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a4gen2/msgs/1028881.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/a4gen2/msgs/1028881.phtml</a</li></ul>

Default Good. it's probably a contact issue with the switch inside, but it's not released

as a repairable item in the VAG system. They just replace them since they are cheap enough.

Default Yeah, after changing a few parts on my car...

I was expecting a $249.99 price tag on a new switch, that's why I left it alone for a few years. I stumbled on the replacement switch while looking at wheel spacers, when I saw the price tag, I decided to try it, I wasn't loosing much if it didn't work.

Default Here is the number I got on my invoice...

1C0941531ASJ European Headlight Switch for $34.95.

I can't find it either anymore, I stumbled on it while looking for something else, put it in the cart and later when I tried to find it again, I couldn't, weird.

Default thanks found it by searching...

for 1C0941531ASJ. I have seen this one on other sites for about twice as much.

Can you confirm it's plug and play with A4 B6? It's listed as a VW part.

There are also lots on ebay (a bit cheaper), but they are listed as VW parts too

Default Yes, I just plugged it in this afternoon...

everything worked like the original switch, headlights, foglights front and rear. No problems seen with the new switch.... and it doesn't blink on and off!!!

Default euro model? can you take a pic to see how it looks?

by the way, it's pretty slick on they engineered that way to remove that switch by pushing in at just the right way. clever germans.

Yes, so clever to replace a POS switch. ;-)
