Default Heat shields on Coil Packs?

Just wondering if anyone has any useful data on whether or not putting heat shields on the coil packs actually helps reduce failure rate. I've seen a procedure for this (don't remember where at the moment). And would it have any affect on warranty in the event of a coil pack failure with a home made heat shield?

BTW, no coils pack failure here, yet. Just looking for some way to reduce my odds. If you think this would be a waste of my oh so precious time, please say so!

Default How about water-cooled coil-packs? A jet of water directly onto it, scavenged from top of manifold

and circulated through some kind of radiator? Don't steal my idea!

Default No, try putting heat sinks on top attached with Artic Silver themal glue. Also...

...rig up 12 volt fans on top of the heat sinks or channel air over each one of them.

Sounds like a good idea, actually.
