Default Help: Car is at the dealer cos they can't find why I'm only boosting 5psi

They showed me their error code print out, but of course the moment I got home I forgot to write it down and memorize what it said...but something like "negative blah blah".

So like I said they see I'm only boosting 5psi and know there is a leak, but can't see where this time. Just last Wednesday I had a vcacuum leak and replaced the cracked item. 30 minutes that day after driving, CEL comes on again.

Back at the dealer. Of course at this point it's only a guessing game contribution, but I'd like to hear what may most likely fail at 38,000 miles that may cause this leak and low pressure boost.

TIA.

Perhaps because you drive a 1.8T??? Just kidding, but stock boost isn't much higher.

Default Check your boost gauge connections as the car was working fine until you had the new one installed

You could have a tear in the line, loose connection or something.

Default There is a boost related DTC with a description similar to "Boost pressure negative deviation.....

exceeded" or something like that, it means the boost pressure requested, (has a range of acceptable values + or - from the requested boost,) and the boost pressure level was less than (exceeded) the negative tolerance limit allowed, and that minimum boost pressure was not achieved.

That's what I'm afraid it might be.
