HELP! Engine problems
Well,
I took off my Thermal exhaust on Monday. Ironically, ever since I removed the exhaust I heard a metallic sound that is hard to describe. I thought at first that the exhaust had a loose fitting.
I took the car in today to have the exhaust examined and to get an oil change.
The sound would not go away. They found nothing wrong with the exhaust. The sound can be heard with the car at idle or on the road.
Then later today, I lost all my boost. Yikes!
I can still here the turbo spool, not as well as normal, but I can still hear it.
I still have this metallic vibration sound.
My tuner can't see the car until Monday.
What do you guys think are the possibilities?
I have a K04 turbo with 1 bar software.

you said metallic vibration sound, mm..does it sounds like a TDI? it could be the lifters from the
engine. is it a constant sound with constant speed of that sound?
you said you have it at idle, right?
how aobut when you rev your car..does it sounds faster or different compare to idle?
