Jaguar is still a Ford, if you drive them both I think you will like the Audi, but then I am prejudiced!! I have had 5 Audi's and only one Ford.

I liked the Jag, but it seemed a bit soft to me
I preferred the sportier handling and youthful feel of the audi. However, the Jag is beautiful, and the 3.0 has a nice growl. Might want to also consider resale.

A4 is more sporty, $6k less, has quattro
I drove both and thought the A4 has a more sporty feel. The Jag was very nice inside and I do like the styling (except the leaper on the hood). The image of the 2 cars are very different. The A4 is solid Germany sports sedan while the Jag is more sophistication and refinement. I would be worried about Jag quality and how the AWD works (no details but less history).
