Homelink problems w/A4?
Anyone had any problems programming Homelink with the new '02 A4?
I have a craftsman garage door opener and can't seem to get it programmed.
The light on the car don't even flash after 5 minutes to signal unsuccessfull programming.
Thanks!
Stefan

On mine, I had to use the rolling code setup instructions further along in the manual.
After doing the initial 'point your remote at the bumper and watch the flashing lights' thing, it was then necessary to remove the garage door opener lamp cover, push the rolling code setup button, then go back to the car and push my selected remote button again.
Hey, it was a bit of a hassle but it's worked fine ever since.

Before you go back to the dealer follow the advice of NMAudi....
Read the instructions for rolling code in the Audi manual and read the garage door manual to find the location of the rolling code button. It is usually under the light cover and on mine was not labeled. After pushing the button and following the Audi instructions Homelink is working fine. You do need to push the button on the visor for 1-2 seconds to get the garage door to respond. (As compared to the garage door remote which needs only a brief push.)

Check the rolling code setup in the manual...
It may be that your garage door opener is using a rolling code for the signal. If you've lost the manual for the garage door opener, take off the plastic cover like you would replace the light bulb. If there's a button with "Learn" labeled on it, then chances are your opener is using the rolling code and now needs to "learn" the A4. Hope this helps!
