Default How "dynamic" is the dynamic shift program?

I know that the DSP adopts to your driving style, but how quickly does it do that? To put it in another way, what does it take to switch it to "sport" mode? (I'm driving a multitronic)

Default its always in sports and economy at the same time, the only thing you need to do

is adjust your driving style, the position of your foot, it does the rest for you.
goes up to the rpm which is perfect to pick up speed, and always stays in the perfect band.

Default Yup. Tiptronic is what needs the whole DSP thing.. multitronic has no gears to shift. :) It'll (m)

adjust on the fly based on load, as docjan describes.

Default Thanks for the info...

It's just that sometimes the engine is not willing to rev up after driving slowly for a longer period (e.g. in a traffic jam). It starts to respond more quickly after a few gas strokes..

Strange. Anyone else with CVT notice that? I'll have to read up on it...

Default Yes, just like a child it needs to re-taught sometimes...

...but I've been experimenting with that extra little pedal push past the click point. I've moved my seat in closer now.
