Default how are 17" vs 18" wheels? how are 18" wheels for city driving?

I am think about getting the RS4 replicas, but I am not sure if I should get the 17s or 18s. I drive in the city alot, so I was thinking about the 17s. What do you guys think?

Default Both are better than 19's

18" should be fine for city driving though.

Default its very easy to bend any low profile tire..

i've bent my 15's (40 series) on a city pothole. repairing them ($125 per wheel) usually results in a back tire with alot of wheel weights.

I'd suggest never hitting any potholes, keeping tire inflation up, and praying. Also buying a spare SET of wheels , i kid you not, will end up cheaper than having wobbly repaired bent/scratched wheels a few years down the road.

check out tire prices on decent tires too. and get road hazard protection fo sho.

Default 1 went from 17" to 18" this year

indeed, they still look small..
but wasn't not much of a difference ( must be noted that i switched from badly worn 17" dunlops to new 18" toyo proxies). i still drive like an old lady/SUV driver, lest i bend my RS4 DTMs .

Default the smaller the wheel, the softer the ride

on the other hand though, bigger wheels look better and, to a point, handle better (in terms of handling, there are some other variables, such as weight and tire type that also affect handling, but in general, unless you're talking about 22's, bigger wheels handle better than little ones)
