Default How can I seperate the operation of my headlight washers from the window washers?

I don't like the fact that the sprayers do not pop up when they get encrusted with ice. It doesn't seem to do any permanent damage. but I don't like the look of all that window wash fluid leaking out of the bumper for the next couple of days. Is there a way that I can run the headlight washer pump off of a momentary switch instead of it being actuated by the window washer? I realize that you can avoid actuating the headlight washers by only giving the window washer short bursts of fluid, but I just can't stand doing that.

You could turn off your headlights to bypass them when cleaning the windshield

Default Yes there are 2 separate pumps for each operation

and yes you can splice a SPST switch into the 12V or ground wire of the connector to enable or disable the headlight washers. The easiest thing to do(as I have) is just pull off the headlight washer pump electrical connector, I found the headlight washers totally useless in the northeast winters as you indicated with ice problems and they don't do much to wash the salt off the lights. All they do is eat washer fluid big time!
